Ono is a strong social activist focused on preaching peace and unity amongst the human race. In 1969, Ono and John Lennon launched a global campaign that went viral at that time; they plastered ten cities with posters bearing a simple, heartwarming message “ WAR IS OVER” writing in big letters followed by ”IF YOU WANT PEACE” in small caps. She has held several campaigns both online using her social media platforms and organizing a lot of campaigns offline.
